A little about the Adelphi B&B Southport

“Hello! It’s lovely to meet you” is probably the first thing you’ll hear The Adelphi Guest House’s Caroline Grogan say. She has a passion for meeting and pleasing her guests; helping them however they need to make their stay just as they’d like it.

With their young family always in mind, Since 1999 Caroline & Chris have spent their time improving guest facilities and the comforts of their home – a task that remains on-going as they invite guests to share the relaxing atmosphere and friendly bed & breakfast environment they have created.

“Proud to welcome many returning guests they now consider as extended members of that family, Caroline, Chris, Georgia & Harvey enjoy the opportunity to mee new guests, whom they hope will remain valued friends.“

Award Winning Caroline

In 2012 Caroline was awarded the Geoff Randle Award for services to Southport's Hotels Association. Such is her modesty, Caroline hadn't quite realised what impact her contribution to improving the standards of Southport's guest accommodation was making on others, but is rightly proud of her recognition.

The Historic Adelphi

Located close to Southport Promenade, its Theatre & Convention Centre, the historic pier, Marine Lake and Victorian Lord Street, The Adelphi is itself a beautifully bay-fronted building.

Boasting seven guest bedrooms that each enjoys its own style, contemporary colour scheme, plush soft furnishings and comforts, The Adelphi dates back to the mid-1800s: a time when Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte lived on Lord Street in exile (between 1846-1848) before returning to France, becoming Emperor and redeveloping much of medieval Paris, it is said, to reflect Southport's tree-lined boulevards.

Today, Southport and The Adelphi may not play host to many exile dignitaries, but it offers staying visitors the warmest of welcomes, friendliest of hosts and most relaxing of atmospheres.
